HOW TO CONTRIBUTE
How can I make a donation to StopGap Kingston?
If you would like to make a financial contribution to help offset costs, please click on the link below and you can contribute through the CanadaHelps website. Just choose StopGap Foundation in the drop down menu and then mention in the comment/message box that you want your funds to support the Kingston project. All funds donated for Kingston will come back to Kingston from the StopGap Foundation to support ramps in the City.
For those of you not comfortable making an online donation, you are welcome to send cheques made payable to StopGap Foundation to 601-111 Elizabeth Street Toronto Ontario M5G 1P7. Please indicate that you would like your donation directed to StopGap Kingston.
If you would like to donate new materials for our next build please send us an email and let us know. We will contact you and arrange to get the materials in time for our next build in spring/summer of 2016.
How can I volunteer to help StopGap Kingston?
StopGap Kingston would love your help. We are looking for individuals or groups who have access to a wood shop and equipment to build custom ramps based on StopGap specifications. Perhaps a high school technology class or a business with a suitable shop. We also need a location and volunteers to paint the ramps once they are constructed. Painting location has to be a large enough space to allow ramps to dry with appropriate ventilation. We will provide all materials and guidance in ramp construction from measuring to the finished product.
But it isn't just about the ramps, it is also about awareness! So if you have skills that could help with social media or maintaining this website, we'd be happy to hear from you. Maybe you have some other creative ideas for us to spread the message. Send us an email and tell us about yourself and how you'd like to help!
